I want to make an application running on ethereum.
One idea is to make a decentralized message board, basically a decentralized replacement for reddit running on pythereum, a high level language running on the ethereum network which would allow the decentralized nature. This would prevent censorship.
I am rusty in python and have done in the past web scraping with regex, file organization, and some other simple scripts. You dont need to be advanced in python but you need to read the ethereum whitepaper over the next few weeks. this is a learning experience.
I want to output a basic but working prototype, right in time for ethereum launch, and if so would want to put it in the real world after more work and security testing. I do intend to work on it the entire time, if you do not, include that when you contact me. ethereum is one of the most advanced public cryptography/computer science projects ever, with the worlds leading cryptographers involved, and is the tip of the spear in computer science. extremely useful experience and we can make a real useful product. email me with a basic description of what you can do: meir1@umbc.edu
Another idea is to make a command line python replacement for truecrypt. This is badly needed since truecrypt went defunct.
But I mainly want to do something with pythereum.
