What if SEB used Closed Captions? Is this feasible?
posted over 10 years ago
I like to go to SEB events when I have the time. Harry Potter... Doctor Who.. Game of Thrones.. all hosted in the Game Room. I also try to go to the movies every week hosted by SEB in the lecture hall.
Every time I walk away unsatisfied because of either the audio equipment, or my lack of hearing. This week the movie Her was playing and, I don't know.. mid-way through I guess, I decided to just get up and walk out. It looked like it had a good plot and a lot of parts sounded interesting, but a lot of the conversations I just couldn't make out. My hearing is below the normal line, with a few cookie bytes. Some tones I cannot hear. I can communicate to people just fine.
I'm wondering if enough people do not care, or would like it, if they might try to fix the situation. Unless it is only me that is concerned.

I have only spoken to one person on the SEB board about Closed Captions, and I did not get a reply. But I'm also wondering, would any of you enjoy, or not care if closed captions were on? Does anyone else have this problem?
