SGA Initiative Survey
We are looking for feedback on specific intiatives
posted over 10 years ago
Hello!
My name is Anthony Nguyen, a member of the SGA Community and Institutional Affairs Department and I'd like to know your opinions.
SGA is currently looking at two really big iniatives: +/- Grading and College Scheduler
+/- Grading is a new proposed grading system by the faculty. There are three major points we'd like to hear you opinion on
- What do you think of the system itself? Do you like the proposed scale of A, A-, B+, etc. that has no A+?
- This change is proposed to only effect new incoming students and not the current student body. What are you thoughts on this policy?
- They are also planning to give professors the ability to choose which grading system they would prefer to employ. Do you think this is a good idea?
College Scheduler is a new program that UMBC could buy. It essentially is an automated schedule building system that works of inputted parameters. The estimated cost is $2 per student. Would you as a student like this program? Are you willing to pay for it? Why or why not?
If you have any other concerns, please share them! Any feedback is weclome!
