A few weeks ago, I opened a discussion board poll named " Add A Car Counter Board To The Commons Parking Garage" asking students to vote in favor or against having a car counter board install in the Commons Parking garage. A total of 485 upstanding UMBC students voted, 463 students voted in favor while a deviant group of 22 students voted against the idea. In total, based on the opinion poll, 95.5 percent of students want this idea to move forward. To those students who loved and voted for the idea of having a car counter board installed in the Commons garage, I am happy to inform you that our idea made it through to the voting stage of Prove It! To help this idea become a reality, you should vote for " Team Drive-Less" and any other idea you like. For commuting students, tried and frustrated of driving into that garage without the assurance of finding a parking spot, this is an opportunity to get our voices heard. I hope that you'll vote for us for Proveit! 2014.

There are few things at UMBC that makes campus life infuriating for commuting students. Not finding a parking spot is definitely one of them. The Commons parking garage is especially frustrating, as students have to drive through all those parking floors only to find NO PARKING SPOTS. My friend and I have decided that installing accurate low cost Entry/Exit sensors that counts the number of cars entering and exiting the garage while relaying that information via a medium sized billboard to incoming student is a great way to prevent waste of time and gas. We plan to submit over suggestion to the SGA's Prove It program. If you think this is a good idea, please kindly chip in your vote to support our idea.
