Exciting campaign internship or volunteer opportunity
Doug Gansler campaign for governor
We all want to make a difference, but too many internships focus entirely on research and require students to get lost in the library. If you want to make a real difference in your community, consider an internship with the Gansler/Ivey Campaign.
Interns will work closely with the statewide staff and participate in weekly briefings on the campaign as well as current events in Maryland politics. Interns learn basic skills that allow them to analyze issues and articulate solutions to the pressing problems of the day. This is a great way to get in on the ground floor of what will be one of the most-watched gubernatorial primaries in the country. Though responsibilities vary, most internships will include:
- Working with the candidate and community organizations to increase visibility and name identification throughout Maryland by coordinating community events, candidate appearances, phonebanks, and canvasses.
- Assisting the campaign with fundraising, press, and social media.
Interns will have the opportunity to work on a campaign where they learn about public interest issues, gain political knowledge, and see how the democratic process works.
