After seeing that pile of computers to be recycled outside of the Academic Services building the other day, most of which probably still had parts that would be in working order, I thought what if UMBC had a computer salvage club? We could take computers that people would donate, or computers that UMBC doesn't want anymore, find out what parts still work and then either resell them and have the money go to programs for the school, fix them up and make a giant computing rig for other students (maybe a server?), or both. Would anyone be interested in something like this?
