Comics and Other Media
Would you enjoy comics and learning about how media is done?

Hey everyone,
I'm thinking that I might start a Comic Book and Other Media club (COM) on campus with Kyle Baker, some of you might know him from Patapsco's Comic-Con. He will be graduating soon and wanted his legacy to live on, and I feel like this is an extremely good idea. I'm pretty excited.
I believe it would be better to be done as a group under SGA like the Anime Society and a few others that are more hobbies. It could also involve learning from other groups, and bringing in their knowledge of their hobby or subject.
What would we do?
Essentially our meetings would be stress free chill zones you could say. I hope that we could have a ton of comics, watch shows and movies, as well as play comic related video games. We would try to have events and guest speakers on campus. However, it would be more than that. Say we are watching a movie, at the end we might discuss how we liked the movie, what techniques were used in the movie and learn from each other. Maybe the music in the movie really gets the audience involved.Would you like to join?
We would definitely be needing resourceful officers. For starters someone with a gaming system or two would be nice. People who like to help out, or has time for the group. It would be amazing if they knew a lot about comics and/or different medias as well. (You don't have to fit into all three categories)Perhaps you want leadership experience with advertising, business, or other. We would love any help we could get!
Anyone on campus would be free to come to the group meetings.
Times and days of the group meetings have not been discussed yet.
Any thoughts, ideas, concerns, or suggestions?
What type of events would you like to see?
