I feel like I’m going against the grain on myUMBC by pointing out when something goes well but if you want the change the tone of an online community positive participation is an important step (at least according to the papers I’m reading for comps).

I really appreciated knowing UMBC was closing before 9pm. Good job to everyone in the process coordinating on a Sunday afternoon and cutting into your ‘me’ time for the rest of us. I understand just because the school closes many of our jobs don’t pause; I hope you can take some of the time today while working from home to replenish.
