Are there any plans to replace Blackboard with Canvas?

Let's face it, Blackboard is downright awful. It makes everything much more complicated than it needs to be and has a design that was old 8 years ago. There are much better alternatives out there, and Canvas is the one that has gotten the most attention. UMCP recently replaced their Blackboard system with Canvas, does UMBC have any plans to do the same?
The teachers at my community college used Canvas and it was very easy and straightforward to use. I can't think of any technical issues with Canvas in 2 years of school there. Yet, in my first semester here, Blackboard has been a nightmare to figure out how to use (and I'm a CS major!) and both of my classes that are using it have ran into technical issues.
UMBC should really look into switching systems to Canvas. It would save a lot of headaches from occurring. Oh and if Administration is willing to make changes to Blackboard, I'll volunteer my time to work on it. I have a background in web development so something as simple as Blackboard's HTML and JS design comes easy to me.
