Potential UMBC TED club. What do you think?
Would anyone be interested in joining a UMBC TED club?

Hi there!
My friend and I are really excited to announce the UMBC TED club coming to campus! For those that do not know, TED (Technology,Education, and Design) is an non-profit organization dedicated to ideas worth spreading.
"TED conferences bring together the world's most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes or less). " (TED website)
We are currently in the process of making the club official but would like to hear some thoughts from the UMBC community!
Our idea is to meet once a month, watch a selection of TED and TEDx talks and have fun discussions about the talks over food :) Eventually we would like to requested funding and see if we can plan trips to TED talks and eventually hold our own TEDx event here on campus!
So what do you think? Any ideas you have for our club or interest in participation?
