How many classes are you taking?

I am taking four as a freshman. I took four last semester as well. That's 13 credits: enough to keep my scholarship, and enough to take up all the time I could be working. I feel like the only person who is taking this few classes. Whenever people post their schedules online, they've got at least 7 or so classes.
Here's the thing. I've got to work. I've car payments, insurance, phone, gas, and other stuff to pay for, so I've got to work when I can. Next year, I'll even be paying my own tuition. Even with just four classes, it's hard to fit work into my schedule. Often, I've got to decide whether to complete school work or take up jobs.
How many classes are you taking? Do you need to work outside of class? How do you balance school and work?
