Should women be able to be priests in Christian churches?

With the hoopla surrounding Phil Robertson's (of Duck Dynasty) statements re: gays (in which he was quoting parts of the Bible), I think it's a fair question to ask if people believe women should be able to be ordained as priests.
After all 1 Timothy says "I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet."
And 1 Corinthians says "The women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says."
Interestingly, here's a link to a wikipedia page on the ordination of women.
Please note that by "priest" I mean any religious leader (e.g. pastor, minister, etc.)
