School tomorrow? Really?

While parts of Maryland (parts in which UMBC commuters come from) are observing snow storm warning( 5 am to 1 pm Tuesday), we can possible predict road conditions similar or worse to conditions that we saw today morning. Since it is supposed to freeze rain AND snow tomorrow we can expect to see some icy conditions tomorrow morning. UMBC is scheduled to have official finals week starting from Friday but some classes are deciding to hold exams during the last classes (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday this week).
Due to the fact that some classes are holding final or last exams this tomorrow, students HAVE to come to exams tomorrow morning or afternoon when icy road conditions are expected. It may be dangerous to drive or even take a lot longer to get to UMBC than the usual drive. While I understand that Administrative staff need to observe road conditions in the morning and decide if the school should close or not, it is frustrating when school decides to wait until the last minute and post school closure or delay when it is CLEAR to most students that it is dangerous to drive to school.
UMBC is known to NEVER close school so I expect the school to delay tomorrow but with students coming from various counties and taking into consideration that it is near Finals week I feel like the school/professors should notify students that it would be cancelled earlier than the usual time. With the weather channel announcing storm warning, UMBC should also be warned.
Last semester UMBC waited until 8:40 ish to announce school closure which was frustrating since many students have already got to campus or on their way to campus only to find out that they had to drive back home. I remember we still held classes when the school had power outage and students just sat in class and did nothing.. RIDICULOUS.
I am not saying that we should close the campus since it MIGHT snow or rain, but saying that we should really consider that some students have FINAL EXAMS to take tomorrow and they will risk dangerous driving conditions to get to school. I heard some classes in the GES department already cancelled final exams which in my opinion was smart, I hope some professors or the school itself would do the same.
Stay safe and warm.
New info: keep exam cacellations in the comments as students can then look to it and see if their exams are cancelled. It would be nice to have sort of a collaborative system where students can keep others updated. Since I am an IS major I know that these following exams are rescheduled:
IS448 - cancelled, re-scheduled : Dec 17, 2013 at 1pm.
IS451 - cancelled, re-scheduled : Dec 19, 2013 at 10:30 am
BIOL251 - as scheduled unless school cancelled
Cell Bio - As scheduled but may use one today as a drop exam
