Moment of Silence for JFK
Remember a decent American President today
While I'm not one to bow at the alter of JFK mythology, I do want to take a moment to remember a decent man today on the 50th anniversary of his death. He was not a perfect man (ie. cheating on his wife and plagiarizing other people's writings), but there are many things I do admire:
1.) JFK was a genuine WW2 hero in the Navy. For reference, look at the history of PT-109. How many people today in politics have military experience? Not enough.
2.) JFK was an ardent Anti-Communist.
3.) JFK was an economic conservative, who cut federal taxes during his administration.
It should also not be forgotten that Kennedy was killed by a Dirty, Low-Down Communist, who had spent time in the Soviet Union and was funded by them for many of his activities.
