So recently, I found out about a bill that takes effect on November 30th. The bill (Food Safety Modernization Act) will make food safer. However, according to many experts, scientists, etc. this bill may hurt small farms and monopolize the agriculture industry. This in turn will make local and organic foods even more expensive and hurt businesses that rely on organic/local foods, which is a growing aspect of the food scene in many cities.
