To My Fellow UMBC Students,
My name is Omar Bukhari and I am a sophomore Biochemistry major/Emergency Health Services minor at UMBC. My friend's name is Adam Gerber and he is a Neuroscience major. This summer we will be going on a 4,000 mile bike ride from Baltimore to San Francisco in honor of cancer patients who need help paying for medical services.
To donate, I ask that you please visit the link below. Patients like these truly require your assistance to survive.

You can read my blog and get to know me as a rider here: http://omar4k.tumblr.com/
Thank you for your time, and I hope that you help patients in need of cancer treatment.
Below is some additional information, if you would like to know more about our organization.
4K for Cancer is a national non-profit organization based in Maryland. Since 2002 we have been committed to fighting cancer by cycling across the country, inspiring hope in people affected by cancer, and uniting communities towards this common cause.
In the summer of 2011 we will embark on three 60 day, 4000 mile bike rides across the United States - Baltimore to San Francisco, Baltimore to Portland and Baltimore to Seattle. Each ride will have between 30 and 35 riders. As we travel across the country, our riders visit cancer patients at hospitals, cancer centers and hospices. We host presentations, offer cancer education programs, and help underserved communities gain access to support by connecting them to other cancer centric non-profits.
Money donated to the 4K and raised by our riders is given back out to the communities we cycle through through our community service programs (cancer education, visits with cancer patients, etc) and in the form of charitable contributions to cancer centric non-profits or to families who need financial assistance during their cancer journeys.
Thank you for your donation and for your support in our fight against cancer.

Everyone is touched by cancer in some way, whether it be through family, friends, or the community. I ask that you help me raise money for cancer patients, to improve their lives and their futures.

We are both required to raise $4500 before we can embark on this journey. I have raised $2900 and Adam has raised $3300 so far. Please help us complete our goals!
