  I've attempted to create a simple walk through on how to access UMBCworks. This is one of the many resources that the Shriver Center offers students to connect them to internships and jobs.
• Auditing for Information Systems Certificate

  This certificate is offered through the IT department and is meant to "prepare the student for entry positions in the IT audit field and for certification as an information systems auditor."
• Bachelor of Science in Financial Economics Requirements

  This lists the requirements for this degree as well as recommendations for those who want to focus on a particular area of accounting. Most, if not all, accounting courses are under this degree.
• MBA Preparatory Certificate

  This certificate is meant to condition students to "meet the coursework requirements for entry into the M.B.A. program at many graduate business schools."
• Pre-Professional CPA certificate

  This link takes you to the requirements page for this certificate. You will find that a lot of the classes overlap with the Financial Economics degree requirements.
