What experiences have you guys had with doing internships in the summer? Do you have any tips for students that may be thinking about applying for one soon? What should they keep in mind when applying (what types of program to apply for, where and WHERE NOT to apply to, were you paid or not, etc.)? What about doing research? What about if your in life sciences or in the social sciences? What tips can you give? I think I've definitely got a lot of value out of college from taking part in research internships.
