Grading Method
posted over 13 years ago
How do you feel about the grading method at UMBC? Is it a competitive system? Do you think the grades are weighed and distributed fairly across courses and disciplines? Are most professors clear and upfront about their grading methodology? Did they articulate it in the syllabus, or in class? Are the late policies uniformly enforced?
What can be improved? Should the plus/minus system [enforced for grad students] be an available option for undergraduates? Do you think it will help or hurt a student's prospects for graduate/professional school or employment?
Please be kind and respectful not only to your fellow students, but to the professors, also. Thanks!
