This question relates to the advising system at UMBC. Are you, the students, satisfied with your adviser? Does he/she offer pertinent information about GEP and major requirements, or are the advising sessions fairly procedural (ie: the advisor just grants permission to register for the following semester). Do you feel comfortable talking to your adviser? Is useful advice dispensed during the session? Does he/she offer convenient office hours? What can be improved with the system?
