<Title>Free MTA Mass Transit Ridership for USM Employees</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><table border="0" width="100%"><tbody><tr><td><table border="0" width="100%"><tbody><tr><td><div><div><span>Beginning July 1, 2019 a <a href="https://t.e2ma.net/click/f6vx6c/nwtbnbb/vuppop" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">new law</a> provides free ridership services for all regular USM faculty and staff members on the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) light rail transit system, metro subway, local bus service, commuter bus service in the Baltimore region, and any other system and service specified by the MTA.<br><br>The MTA has created a sticker that can be affixed to university employee identification cards. In order to access transit, employees are required to present their university ID badges with the sticker. The institution is in the process of purchasing the stickers for employees who wish to participate in the program. Parking Services will be coordinating efforts with the MTA on the sticker purchase. Employees wishing to obtain a sticker may contact <a href="https://t.e2ma.net/click/f6vx6c/nwtbnbb/bnqpop" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Parking Services</a> for more details.<br><br>In the meantime, employees wishing to take advantage of this benefit <em><strong>before</strong></em> the stickers are available may obtain a State ID badge that will allow them to access the participating transit vehicles. The application will be open until July 8th.</p><p><br></p><h3>TSC Student Consultant Job Description</h3><p>Technology Support Center (TSC) student consultants are the first points of technical contact for the UMBC community and those who do well often go on to work in other areas of the Division of Information Technology (DoIT). Minimally, consultants are expected to provide initial triage and support for a wide range of information technologies including accounts, hardware, instructional technologies, networking, software, telecommunications, and basic web development.</p><h4>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:</h4><ul><li>Provide technical assistance to users by phone, online and in person;</li><li>Answer TSC phones in a professional and courteous manner;</li><li>Create, update and resolve tickets in the Request Tracker (RT) ticketing system;</li><li>Create, update, suggest and recommend relevant FAQ articles to users (<a href="http://www.umbc.edu/faq">www.umbc.edu/faq</a>);</li><li>Provide direct assistance to users on technical issues they cannot easily resolve on their own;</li><li>Complete in-person or online training about quality support as defined in umbc.edu/go/ticketrubric;</li><li>Respond to all work-related communications in a timely manner;</li><li>Escalate urgent problems to the Full-Time staff, as appropriate.</li></ul><h4>Required Skills and Experience</h4><ul><li>Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate by phone or in person.</li><li>Demonstrated writing ability.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to achieve successful outcomes in handling difficult situations and customers.</li><li>Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Ability &amp; willingness to learn coupled with a clear understanding of one’s technical abilities, so as to triage and escalate an issue that leads to an effective solution for the user.</li></ul></span></div>

    <div class="html-content"><p>Two young, female professionals looking for a third roommate to take one large bedroom in a Catonsville townhouse by August 1st (flexible with move in date). Female Preferred. Rent is $500 and a $500 security deposit is required at move in. Roommates split BGE and internet costs equally. Landlord pays for the water bill. The current lease is valid through October 2020, but lease length and terms can be discussed. </p><p>The 3-bedroom townhouse is located in a quiet neighborhood, right next to downtown Catonsville, off of 695 (easy highway access), and a 5 minute drive to UMBC's campus. The house is also a short walk from a UMBC Shuttle stop. There are 2 bedrooms on the upper level, one of which is occupied, the other is the available room. The two roommates on the upper level share a full bathroom. </p><p>Looking for someone who is considerate and friendly! The house is social but roommates enjoy personal space. MUST BE COMFORTABLE LIVING WITH ONE CAT AND ONE DOG (who are very cute btw).<br></p><p>The shared common areas such as the living room and dining room are fully furnished and there is a queen bed for the available room if needed. Laundry is available in-unit.
