Your journey to financial wellness begins now with our interactive (and entertaining) online FinancialSmarts Cash Course! This multi-module, self-paced course ensures that you are as well-prepared to manage your budgets, bank accounts, assets and debt as you are to master your academic and career interests. Once you have enrolled in the course, you are welcome to complete as many modules as you would like, whenever you choose to do so. However, here's where FinancialSmarts start to pay off … By September 15, 2019:

• If you complete the pre-assessment and one module, your name will be entered in our $100 campus care deposit drawing.

• If you complete the pre-assessment and two or more modules, your name will be entered in our $300 campus card deposit drawing.

• If you complete the pre-assessment and all modules, your name will be entered in our $500 campus card deposit drawing.

Campus card deposits can be used anywhere that you can use your campus card. For example:

-The Bookstore

-Campus food vendors like Outtakes, True Grits, and Salsaritas

-Paying tuition and fees on myUMBC or at SBS

-Campus vending machines

-Print stations

-Local partner businesses

The deadline to apply for an Honors College Council Chair position has been extended to next Tuesday, July 16. In addition, the HCC is seeking candidates for a third chair position not included in the original notice.

Here are descriptions of each Chair Position:

• Fundraising Chair --  The duties of the fundraising chair will include arranging fundraisers, acting as the primary contact for vendors, signing all pertinent fundraising and cash box forms, collecting appropriate written documentation for all transactions and communications with vendors, and reporting back to the Treasurer as well as helping with Finance Board Allocation Requests.
• Marketing Chair --  The duties of the marketing chair include distributing quarter cards, composing and presenting the best marketing approach for agreed upon Honors College Council hosted events, collecting data on event attendance, working with CommonVision, and helping the treasurer and fundraising chair in Finance Board Allocation Requests.
• Public Relations Chair -- The duties of the Public Relations Chair will include designing marketing materials (posters, stickers, snapchat filters, and other fliers), sharing materials with the treasurer and marketing chair, advertising events, and branding. Similarly, the Public Relations chair will be in charge of managing social media and making event announcements.

Send President Sanya Ahmed an email with a paragraph stating (1) which Chair Position you are interested in and (2) why you are interested!

The Howard County Arts Council is now accepting submissions for Art Howard County 2019. If you are a visual artist, 18 years of age or older, who lives, works or studies in Howard County, Maryland, you are eligible to apply to this biennial, juried exhibit. The juror for Art Howard County 2019 is Robin Holliday, owner and curator of HorseSpirit Arts Gallery, located at Savage Mill in Savage, Maryland.
