New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has expressed his disdain for MTV’s popular show Jersey Shore in the past. Now he might act on his hostility…
The New Jersey Economic Development Authority gives the show $420,000 tax credit (also known as the Snooki subsidy) for filming down the Shore. Christie could veto the credit in an effort to save money for the state.
But the action could backfire as the state could lose millions in tourism revenue if the show relocates.(Jersey Shore shot in Ocean City?)
In season one alone, there were 495 productions earning New Jersey $2.1 million in revenue. Christie has a week to decide.
