Used in a sentence:

“Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak announced plans to appoint a new government in an attempt to save his country from a complete state of entropy.”

Not only is the above sentence a stupendous use of vocabulary, it is the latest event in the turmoil which has engulfed the Egypt.  During a press conference Friday, Mubarak stated:

I have asked the government to resign and tomorrow there will be a new government

The president, who has been in power for nearly three decades, made his plans known following four days of rampant protest.  Protesters have turned violent in their request for reform in the Middle East’s most populace country.  Addressing the requests, Mubarak promised:

We will continue with new steps which will ensure the independence of the judiciary and its rulings, and more freedom for citizens.

Egypt’s unrest has led to a shutdown of the Internet along with other technologies and has begun to spread throughout the region.

Over on the other side of the Atlantic, President Obama has called on the country’s president to make good on his word.  In a phone call to Mubarak, Obama cautioned the leader:

To refrain from any violence against peaceful protesters

Many consider Egypt to be an ally of the United States and predict a collapse of the government to be detrimental to America’s foreign relations’ agenda.  Others see the need for reforms in Egypt.
