Well, so much for a reprieve.
Less than a day and a half after its inception, the ceasefire between Ukraine and pro-Russian separatists appears to have been shattered by artillery fire in the port-city of Mariupol.
It’s just the latest sobering episode in a conflict inching towards full-scale war between West and East.
Granted, to hear locals tell, the truce didn’t have much hope to begin with.
Still, it’s a grim indicator that things in Europe might keep getting worse before things get better.
IF they get better, that is.
