What are you doing this summer?
Will you be cooped up in a cubicle in D.C. or working tables at a local restaurant?
Maybe you’d prefer to try something a little more exciting where you can:
- Travel and see the world
- Have a unique educational and cultural experience
- Be physical and active
- Be sustainable and environmentally conscious
You can do this all through a program called WWOOF: Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms.
How the program works:
“Visitors, or ‘WWOOFers’, spend about half a day on a host farm, learn about the organic movement and sustainable agriculture, and receive room and board – with no money exchanged between hosts and WWOOFers.”
Yes, that’s right. It’s free.
All you need to pay for is your way there and back.
So if you are interested in having a unique and refreshing experience check out the various WWOOF farms across the nation and world and plan a trip!
