We recently had a post that discussed the usefulness of a liberal arts degree. Recent studies showed that liberal arts majors earned just as much, if not more, as their STEM major peers.
However, The Week recently came out with a list of interesting college majors, including Canadian Studies, Nannying and The Beatles.
While having a degree called “Popular Culture” might be fun and interesting, how realistic is it to spend four years pursuing a degree and taking classes on television and radio?
How about Bakery Science? Would it make more sense to focus on a larger realm of study such as chemical engineering or business?
What do you think about the usefulness of these “unusual majors?”
