You may not have heard, but the new Apple iPhone 5s has a
“Super cool night vision mode”.
That amazing (and untrue) assertion is part of the fun and engaging product review video 120 seconds with Pogue: iPhone5s
David Pogue is the high octane tech writer for the New York Times and we at USDemocrazy always enjoy his amusing, smart and informative videos.
This one is worth a watch (even after enduring a 30 second ad in the NYT site).
Pogue must be right in his assessment of the iPhone because the newest version sold 9 million phones in the first 3 days. That number may have been padded by a throng of tech-hungry folks in China which was on the list of launch countries for the first time.
Meanwhile in Canada, things are not so rosy.
The once dominant smartphone maker Blackberry is in free fall. After a poorly received new product rollout earlier this year, the company is retrenching. It announced layoffs of 4000 workers and a possible boardroom buyout.
At the current rate, the next iPhone may have a Blackberry “Goodnight vision mode”.
