The National Science Foundation (NSF) is funding Kansas State University for their 10-week summer research program in chemical engineering.
**Students will receive a stipend $5,000 for the ten-week period as well as $2,500 for food and housing.
**Students will also receive travel expenses if needed to attend conferences when presenting their research
Students will:
- Receive faculty mentors from the fields of chemical engineering, electrical engineering, geology, and chemistry
- Attend weekly research seminars and give reports on their projects
- Present their findings on the last day at a final poster session
- Attend a sustainability seminar on sustainable energy, its production and impact
- Participate in a group outreach project related to sustainability
- Have field trips and social activities relevant to sustainable energy
Program Date: May 31- August 5, 2016
