University of Pittsburgh Models of Infectious Disease Agent Study
(MIDAS) National Center of Excellence summer
research opportunity in computational modeling and simulation of infectious diseases.
Through this ten-week Summer Research Program, participants will gain an appreciation of major research questions being raised at the intersection of public health, biological science, and computer technology and become acclimated to the rigors of scientific research and graduate education.
The program is open to all undergraduates with an interest in the computational modeling and simulation of infectious diseases. Applications are accepted from undergraduate students who are in good academic standing and are currently enrolled in a four year college or university. Women and underrepresented groups are particularly encouraged to apply.

Successful applicants will be awarded a $4500 research stipend for the ten week program. Housing and travel provided as needed.
