Look no further!

Clemson University is looking for undergraduates students who are interested in conducting engineering and scientific research over the course of ten-week program. The program is designed to help students have a positive research experience and to provide an opportunity to connect with other researchers and industrial entrepreneurs through various social activities. 

·       Application Deadline – February 1, 2016

·       Experience Begins – May 22, 2016

·       Experience Ends – July 30, 2016

Benefits:

·       Stipend- $5,500 over 10 weeks

·       Travel stipend ($500)

Eligibility:

·    Students at all levels of their undergraduate work and from a variety of majors are sought for this program.

·       Must be a US citizen or permanent US resident. 

·      Priority will be given to students who have at least a 3.5 GPA and who have not had a research experience within an REU program.

·      All participants must be currently registered at a two- or four-year college, and may not have received their Bachelor's degree prior to January 2017.

·      Women and members of demographic groups traditionally under-represented in engineering are particularly encouraged to apply. 

• Attend a full day orientation on Monday, June 13, 2016
• Prepare an abstract of the research project
• Prepare an oral presentation of their work at the completion of the program
• Attend mandatory, weekly didactic seminars
• Complete all program, hospital and occupational health requirements (e.g. proof of health insurance, vaccinations)

Molecular and Biochemical Analysis of Proteins

- Undergraduate who has completed at least 4 semesters of college study

- Students must have at least one semester of college remaining after the summer of 2016

- U.S. citizen or permanent resident

- Grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

- Ten-week mentored research experience (May 23 - July 29, 2016)
