Every department at UMBC and many faculty members support student research and creative engagement. Students may apply for an Undergraduate Research Award (URA) to fund their work. UMBC's undergraduate research conference is held on Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement Day (URCAD) and is open to all students who wish to present the results of their laboratory and scholarly research and creative achievements.
