Part 2 of the 2013 Maryland Traditions Achievement in Living Traditions & Arts (ALTA) Awards ceremony focuses on the 2013 recipient of the ALTA in the category of Tradition: Sharptown Oyster Fritters (Wicomico County). It features a discussion with members of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Sharptown Fire Department who are responsible for making the famous oyster fritters at the annual Sharptown Firemen’s Carnival. The 2013 Maryland Traditions Achievement in Living Traditions & Arts (ALTA) Awards were held at Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center on January 18th, 2014.
