SBIRT: MD3 Faculty Supervision Training Video w/ HTN Case example & Parallel Process Explanation
This video is designed as a stand-alone, brief training lecture for medical faculty to learn more about the supervision of medical residents who are performing SBIRT protocols with patients. The video includes both a demonstration of a medical resident performing SBIRT with a patient who has high blood pressure as well as a demonstration of the same medical resident receiving supervision for that case with her faculty supervisor.
All patients portrayed in the MD3 SBIRT videos are actors and the cases and substance use examples are fictional. These videos were created for the training of medical residents, medical faculty, and other clinicians to learn SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment) for substance abuse.
