Good afternoon Student Org Leaders!
As we continue to progress further into the spring semester, I would like to remind student organization leaders to take advantage of the opportunity to request funds from SGA and the Finance Board to subsidize the costs of your org's prospective events.
The Finance Board has reviewed over 60 allocation requests throughout the course of the fall 2013 and spring 2014 semesters, and has allocated approximately $174,500.00 of the initial $230,000.00 budget. Approximately $55,500.00 remains in the SGA student organization budget.
If your org is planning to host an event in the near future and would like to request funds from the Finance Board, then I recommend that you appropriately submit an Allocation Request Form (which can be found online or in the SGA Office) to the SGA Treasurer as soon as possible.
If you are unfamiliar with the process of requesting funds, then I suggest that the Treasurer and/or the President of any student organization attend either one of two Treasurer Training sessions that will be held later this week. I will send an e-mail with the details of these sessions within the hour.
