Online Scheduling System for Event/Meeting Space
posted over 10 years ago
Dear colleagues:
The Event & Conference Services Office in The Commons has been working with the Division of Information Technology (DoIT) on upgrading our space reservation platform, Resource 25 (R25). This upgrade will eventually result in a new user-interface for campus schedulers via the web, as well as a more stable and reliable software platform for the events staff, as we continue
to strive toward providing the highest-level service experience possible.
Part of this upgrade process will require that we take the R25 system offline for a period of a few days in order to migrate our data onto the servers of the company who will be hosting our information and to test certain aspects of the new system. This planned downtime is scheduled for April 15 - 17, 2014. The downtime will result in the current web-viewer request form becoming unavailable to campus schedulers and student organizations, as well as
an inability by our office to address requests already submitted into the system and waiting to be processed.
DoIT will be working closely with CollegeNet, the company that supplies R25, to oversee the transition of our system during this downtime period and we will continue to keep the campus community informed on the progress of the upgrade.
While the downtime is planned to be brief, we do apologize for any inconvenience that this process may present to offices that are planning events for the future. We are confident that the outcomes of our efforts will help us to achieve our aim of providing a consistently high-level service experience for our clients, in addition to improving the tools we use to plan events in our community.
If you have any questions, concerns, or other related inquiries, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at 410-455-1446.
In partnership,
Joel DeWyer
Associate Director, The Commons Administration
