Moms and parents who plan on using the Women's Center lactation room throughout the fall semester can begin signing up and requesting their preferred reservation times now. 

All parents who reserve times will be added to the lactation room google calendar and a group email list in order to support communication and best navigate multiple people using the space.

Beginning May 23rd and running through the end of August, the Women's Center will be operating under limited hours and the Center may be closed during times that UMBC community members need access to the lactation room.

In order to ensure access to this safe and private space for nursing parents, the Women's Center is partnering with the Commons CIC. If you plan on using the lactation room over the summer, please contact Jess Myers (jessm@umbc.edu, 410-455-2714) for details and next steps. 

The UMBC Preschool will be hosting a UMBC Open House for faculty, staff and students during the Early Bird Registration Period (May 11 through May 20, 2016).

Stop in and meet the new Center Director, tour the newly renovated Preschool, and see the children in their learning environment. You will be able to obtain information on the following,

• enrollment and registration deadlines
• preschool tuition and financing (new rates for UMBC
  Affiliates)
• curriculum and staffing
• UMBC partnerships

After the UMBC Early Bird registration date, registration will be open to members of the community interested in enrolling their child in the Y Preschool at UMBC.

We encourage you to attend the Open House from 9am-5pm on May 11th and visit their website for more information about the Preschool at UMBC. You may also follow the UMBC Preschool Group to remain abreast of upcoming events and other important information related to the Preschool at UMBC.

Y Preschool at UMBC provides quality preschool education to children ages 2-5. With a focus on school-readiness, Y Preschool encourages children to be enthusiastic learners and provides the educational and developmental support for success in kindergarten and beyond! 

UMBC is excited to offer a variety of fun and stimulating academic programs this summer for middle school and high school students. The Summer Enrichment Experience (SEE) will bring the college experience to these students by offering a variety of opportunities in science, engineering, technology, the arts and humanities led by UMBC faculty, industry professionals and undergraduate students. These experiences are designed to spark participants’ passions and interests in these fields and tap into their creative talents, expand technical skills and hone their academic skills.
