The Visiting Artist Lecture Series and the InterArts Series present writer, book designer, publisher and developer Craig Mod, whose work is concerned with the future of publishing and storytelling. He is co-author and designer of Art Space Tokyo, an intimate guide to the Tokyo art world. Since October 2010 he has worked in Palo Alto collaborating with Flipboard.
Mod studied fine arts and computer science at the University of Pennsylvania, punctuated by two years of intensive Japanese language studies in Tokyo at Waseda University. He helped found Chin Music Press in 2003 and subsequently left the company at the end of 2008. He was awarded a Fabrica fellowship in 2005 and served as design judge for the 85th annual Art Directors Club.
