The Jewish Learning Fellowship (JLF) is a 10-week experiential, conversational seminar for students looking to deepen their understanding of Judaism on their own terms. JLF is open to anyone interested in learning about themselves from a Jewish perspective—no previous Jewish learning required. All participants will earn $180 towards a future Jewish learning opportunity.

This fall, we are excited to offer two curricula: "Life's Big Questions" and "Pursuing Justice," starting the week of 10/4. We hope to be able to offer JLF in a hybrid format, with participants able to participate either in person or virtually. Meeting times are as follows:

Life's Big Questions: Wednesdays, 11am-12 pm.

Pursuing Justice: Fridays, 12:30-1:30 PM.

The Berman-Lipavsky Religious School at Beth El Congregation is currently seeking a mid-week teacher for the Howard County’s Hebrew School in Your Neighborhood Program. The class meets at Waverly Elementary School on Thursday afternoons from 4:30-6:00pm. The class is a mixed grade group, Kindergarten through 6th grade. The curriculum is Jewish values based and focuses on holidays, prayer, and Israel. We are looking for creative and collaborative, knowledgeable, and committed people who love working with children.  Candidates preferably would have experience in a Jewish formal and/or informal educational setting as well as a solid Judaic knowledge base.
