Susan DuMont

Coordinator for Fraternities & Sororities
Susan received her Masters in Counseling in Higher Education/Student Affairs from the University of Delaware, where she held her graduate internship in Greek Life. Prior to starting graduate school she traveled as an Educational Leadership Consultant for Alpha Phi Fraternity, a role which allowed her to visit over 25 campuses to work with chapters on a variety of topics and issues. Her undergraduate years were spent at Lake Forest College, a small liberal arts college just north of Chicago, where she majored in Chemistry and Sociology and found her passion for student life through her involvement and leadership roles in Alpha Phi as well as Student Government and New Student Orientation. Although she hasn?t lived there in years, St. Louis, where she was born and raised, will always be home. Susan enjoys volunteering for Alpha Phi, hiking, travel (especially to Missoula, MT), modern dance, wok cooking, and triathlon. Come by to talk about Greek Life or just stop by and say hi!

Richard Bussey
Graduate Coordinator for Fraternities & Sororities

As an alumni of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, Eta Phi Chapter at UMBC, Rich feels very privileged to continue working with the UMBC Greek community. He had the opportunity to act in many official capacities within his chapter including: Philanthropy Chairman, Assistant New Member Educator, VP of Recruitment and President. He also coordinated their Fifteen Year Reunion as an outgoing senior. Moreover, he was a lead programmer for the Student Events Board for three years and has helped coordinate hundreds of campus events with attendances ranging from 10 to 3000 students! Rich recently graduated with a BA in Music Technology from UMBC. His studies combined an extensive music curriculum with professional audio and video production. He is currently pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Music Technology with research emphasis in audio for visual media. In addition to interning at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, he will be designing sound for The Department of Theater’s production of Fabulous Presto, The Department of Visual Arts’ Game Developers Capstone Course and creating an interactive musical piece with Max/MSP for his Graduate Recital. This is all in preparation for the pursuit of a Master’s Degree in Audio Sciences. Drop by Commons 2B08 if you need help with your chapter’s upcoming event or to discuss audio for your next album, video game or film! (He’s got coffee if you’ve got a mug).
