UMBC Debate's Rand Paul Drag Race Debate Tournament
The first UMBC Debate hosted tournament
Saturday, December 5, 2015 · All Day
It is without further ado that UMBC invites you to Rand Paul’s Drag
Race, where the only thing sexier than Republican presidential
candidates is subversion of the gender binary.
C’mon UMBC, let’s get sickening!
Debates:
Want to complain about the patriarchy? You will have 3 preliminary rounds in which you can do so. After that there are semifinals, and then finals. At UMBC the library’s always open so get ready to read! This tournament is open to all UMBC students, FREE OF CHARGE.
(PS: Bonus points to those who show up in drag!)
Food:
We don’t have a sexy pit crew to deliver it, but we will have bagels and coffee in the morning and pizza for lunch. With standards like these, it will be hard to keep that waist cinched. And the best part? It's all FREE OF CHARGE.
Schedule:
We will be as conservative with our schedule as we are with fiscal policy. Please respect times so that we can have a good tournament.
8:00am - 9:00am - Registration
9:30am - Round 1
11:00am - Round 2
12:00pm - Lunch
1:00pm - Round 3
2:15pm - Break Announcement
2:30pm - Semifinals
4:00pm - Finals
5:30pm - Awards
All debaters will convene at General Assembly (GA) which is in PHYSICS 101.
