It's finally almost here - DawgCTF!

DawgCTF is CyberDawgs' yearly Capture-the-flag competition, featuring a wide array of different cybersecurity challenges, in catagories including web, crypto, osint, reverse engineering and more with difficulties ranging from new to CTFs to pros. If you've been waiting for an opportunity to get started in Cybersecurity or want to hone your skills, this is an incredible opportunity! It'll be taking place Friday, April 10th from 11:30 AM-7:00 PM in ILSB Room 230. If you plan on attending in person, make sure to sign up ahead of time with this form, or learn more on our website. Hello CyberDawgs, it's that time again!

Due to unforeseen and regrettable circumstances, we are unable to meet in-person on Monday, so the weekly meeting will be held online on our Webex, from 7:15pm-8:15pm, Monday 23. Former team competitor and club faculty advisor RJ will be giving a guest lecture on Reverse Engineering with Ghidra - don't miss it!

Also coming up this week is an awesome HackUMBC collaboration! This App Security workshop will be held in ILSB 233 from 12pm-1pm on Feburary 25th (Wednesday). Catch us there! You can learn more at HackUMBC's MyUMBC announcement.

Tomorrow, Monday 9th, is our FIRST CYBERDAWGS MEETING of the semester! It'll be from 7:15-8:15pm in the Interdisciplinary Life Sciences Building (ILSB) Room 116A. And even if you can't make it in person, you can join virtually via Webex.

It's going to be a busy meeting - here's the rundown:

-> Some club history
-> What we do and how YOU can get involved
-> Information on the Team and how to join
-> The main lecture: How to get started in cybersecurity
Sounds intimidating? Don't worry! We're a chill club and you'll find plenty of amazing people to help you along the way, and if you're ready to jump right in, there will be small Cyberpaws Capture the Flag challenge after the meeting. We're looking forward to seeing you there and to have you check out what we're all about!

And a quick reminder: There's still time to sign up for the NCAE Cyber Games competition! It's open to anyone who has never competed in a major competition before, and includes Capture the Flag and red vs blue infrastructure elements. It's a great learning opportunity , so if you're eligible sign up for the CyberDawgs team!
