The Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference is fast approaching! Our UMBC AIChE Chapter has two Jeopardy teams competing, so make sure you come by and support UMBC!!! 

Also, feel free to stop by the ChemE car competitions. We aren't sending any teams this year for ChemE car, but it will still be a really good and fun experience for everyone interested in ChemE Car!

As mentioned in our first General Body Meeting on 9/14/20, we are looking for a first year representative for the AIChE Eboard. If you want to get involved in AIChE, this is a great start!

We are also EXCITED to announce AIChE's Mentoring Program as previously discussed in the meeting. The form for the Mentoring Survey is: https://forms.gle/Hf57wnGuMmrdNYdT8. The form is both if you wanted to become a Mentor or Mentee, or you can also be both if you desire. This program is also a great way to meet new friends, interact with the ChemE department or simply getting involved.

Dear All

Due to the pandemic, the regional ChemE Jeopardy regional competition normally held in the Spring was postponed. It will now be held on Oct 9th, 2020. We intend to send two teams (up to 4 people in each) to the regional competition. We will first do an internal selection to select 8 students. 

This internal selection has 3 components: 

i) A Quiz administered through Blackboard on Sat, Sept, 19th, 2020 at 3 pm. Dr. C has helped us with this. If this time does not work for you, let us know in the survey. 

ii) A short paragraph on your motivation for participation. Don't be pressured, any reason is fine.

iii) Attendance at the past Jeopardy events. Our ChemE Jeopardy chair, Cameron Sloan held numerous Jeopardy sessions over the summer and now leading into Fall. 

Once again, it is completely okay if you were unable to attend, but do tell us why? If you would like to participate, please fill out the following short survey by Sept, 18th, 2020, at 11:59 pm. Once you fill out the form, we will add you to the participant list for the quiz on Saturday. Please note, this survey is not the quiz, it is your intention to participate in the quiz and the regional competition.
