How do you feel about a Triangle Chapter Blog?

Hello everyone,
I'm creating this thread to see how you all feel about starting a blog for the UMBC Triangle Chapter on our website, http://www.umbc-triangle.org/
The content that we will be looking for is, academic literature reviews, comments on academic work, academic material (preferably, but not necessarily related to STEM fields), or organizational reports/commentary/reviews.
Keep in mind that this material will be public, and on our official website. If we ever get any guest speakers or people with some influence I will ask them if they can make any contributions to the blog, both for our sake, and for publicity.
Just to make it clear, some things that will not be published (unless it is put to vote) is content of politics (aside from theory or research (as that falls into the field of political science)), personal musings about non-academic material, or other writings (such as short stories). Again, if it is put to a vote, or if enough people think it is a good idea, I can amend what will and will not be accepted.
(Also I could use a part time editor to help me out.)
How do you feel about this?
