I've been making little blurbs at the end of mass lately, but for those of you who for some reason are never there to hear the message...
Newman Club is starting up a MUSIC MINISTRY!!!
What's that, you ask?
Music ministry is more than just music rehearsal for mass. With enough interest, this ministry can grow in service and charity to outreach and disciple through melodies of praise. Those involved will commit their time to learning music for mass on a consistent basis, (approx. 1 hour rehearsal a week), be of service to Newman Club events (or other community events) i.e praise and worship/adoration nights, and whatever else needs some good sound. Music ministers will actually MINISTER through their work! What better way to disciple others than through music? :)
It would be FANTASTIC if this ministry could consist of:
a committed choir*
some guitars
some pianos
maybe bongo drums
maracas.. anything really
*You don't have to actually know how to sing professionally!!
**No experience required!!
As mentioned, your commitment would call for an hour to an hour and a half out of your week. I STRONGLY encourage anyone who might be even the slightest bit interested to definitely take time to pray and discern your call to this ministry!!!
I am VERY excited to serve everyone these upcoming years and I ask for your prayers for the growth and success of this group!
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me--
Love,
Vivian
P.S, if anyone knows incoming freshmen who would be interested in joining, PASS THIS ALONG!!!
