MARC Train will operate on an "R" schedule on Monday, October 9 in observance of Columbus Day.  Only trains with an "R" under the train number in the Camden and Penn Line timetables and Brunswick Line trains listed in the special grid on the right side of the timetable will operate. In addition, some trains will make additional stops when operating on the "R" schedule as noted in the timetable grid.

Please note that the "R" schedule replaces the former "S" schedule and that there have been changes made to which trains operate on this reduced service schedule. Carefully review the timetables to ensure that the train you want to ride is operating.  Passengers should take note especially of the following:

--The last Penn Line train to Perryville will depart Washington at 6:23pm and the last train to Baltimore will depart Washington at 7:45pm

--Brunswick Line Train 881 terminates in Brunswick on the "R" schedule.  Passengers traveling west of Brunswick must be on Train 875, departing Washington at 4:25pm.

--The last Camden Line departure from Washington to Baltimore is Train 858 at 6:55pm.

MARC Train will operate the MARC Bike Car on select trains on Friday, September 22 in support of World Car Free Day.  The Bike Cars will operate on the following trains:

Penn Line: 511 (5:40am departure from Perryville / 6:25am departure from Penn Station), 413 (6:45am departure from Penn Station), 612 (8:20am departure from Washington), 641 (4:18pm departure from Penn Station), 634 (4:45pm departure from Washington) and 642 (5:46pm departure from Washington)

Brunswick Line: 892 (6:05am departure from Frederick) and 893 (5:20pmdeparture from Union Station).   Please note that Bike Car service is not available at Barnesville, Boyds, or Garrett Park.

The MARC Bike Car allows you to bring a full-size, non-collapsing bicycle on board a train.  There are 21 bike spaces per train and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.  All MARC Penn Line weekend trains feature a Bike Car.  Please note that MARC's weekday bike policy, which allows only collapsable/folding bicycles, will be in effect on all other trains on September 22.  Full information on World Car Free Day can be found on the event's website: http://www.worldcarfree.net/wcfd
