Helping UMBC Faculty & Staff effectively support students
Wednesday, March 9, 2016 · 11 AM - 1 PM
We all interact with students in different and meaningful ways. One approach to making those interactions meaningful is to talk with students about their substance use and its impact on their university experience. From academics to employment, this session will provide UMBC specific data, as well as best practices for engaging with students around their alcohol and other drug use, while providing useful skills and an opportunity to practice them.
Seats must be reserved in advance, no later than 2/26/16. Lunch is provided. Vegetarian options will be provided. Please email Jacki Stone j.stone@umbc.edu with additional dietary restrictions.
