We are almost done with earning points back towards Quiz 0 in The Math Gym. We will be using Math Gym for the rest of the semester to brush up on skills from your present math course. You can earn points for each section or quiz (depends on your instructor - please refer to the announcement in blackboard) available in a special Webassign course called MATH GYM(Course No.) by successfully completing problem sets from those sections. These points are extra credit that will just be added to your overall score in the class, not added back to each individual quiz. The extra credit points are a small incentive to encourage you to go and do the work. The real benefit of this is to finish this course successfully with a solid foundation in the concepts
necessary to have a good start in your next math course.
The due dates for earning the extra points are:
Oct 30 and Dec 8
Since we will be using Webassign, you are strongly encouraged to bring a laptop to The Math Gym. If not,
hard copies of the problem sets should be available for you to work on by hand.
Just to make it clear, you have to go to the Math Gym to work on these problem
sets since you require a Password to access the problem sets. There are 2
versions of problems for each section and attempt the version 1. You should get
at least 80% in that to get the points. If you do, you can go on to the next
section and if you have less than 80%, you should try the second version.
