Queerios welcomes participation of all kinds and disclosure of any identities is never required to join us.  This group is not focused on any particular queer identity or faith-based practice, and will feature topics that highlight a variety of identities and practices present in the UMBC student body.

Our first session of the semester will focus on the fluidity of religion and the multiple interpretations of texts as well as the stories and figures within them. Specifically covered will be deities such as Loki and Eros who have features that we would currently identify as queer. Rashi’s commentary on Joseph as well as Rice and Webber’s musical on him will also be discussed.
