Join us for the final night of the first Baltimore Environmental Film Series:
Mother Kuskokwim is about the native Yup'ik people who live in a remote area of Southwest Alaska and continue to practice a subsistence lifestyle in a region suffering from severe economic hardship and climate change. Creighton Professor of Theology John O'Keefe produced the film with his students, and will be present for a discussion after the screening.
The second film, Merchants of Doubt, is a provocative and entertaining documentary exploring the history of corporate-financed public relations campaigns to sow doubt about the impacts of everything from tobacco to climate change. The film is inspired by the book of the same name by Harvard Science Historian, Naomi Oreskes.
Tickets are $7. Spread the word on Facebook!
